CarDeck

Data collected: none.

CarDeck is a vehicle maintenance tracker that runs entirely on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads — so there is nothing of yours for us to collect, see or sell.

Effective 12 June 2026 · Applies to CarDeck for iOS

Where your data lives

Everything you put into CarDeck — vehicles, service history, fuel and charging logs, costs, loan and lease details, reminders, photos and documents — is stored locally on your device, inside the app's own private storage.

CarDeck has no backend. The developer cannot access, view, recover or delete your data, because it never leaves your devices.

Backups and iCloud

CarDeck writes a backup file inside its own app container. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Apple may sync that container to your personal iCloud account as part of standard device backups. That data is protected by your Apple ID and Apple's security; it is never transmitted to the developer or any third party. You control iCloud entirely from iOS Settings.

Permissions, and why they're asked for

Every permission is optional. CarDeck works without them; the related features simply stay off until you grant access.

Sharing and exports

CarDeck can create PDF reports and backup/share files. These are generated on your device and only go where you send them — via AirDrop, Messages, email or any share option you pick. Nothing is shared automatically.

What CarDeck doesn't do

Deleting your data

You can delete individual records or vehicles inside the app at any time, or remove everything by deleting the app from your device. Backups synced to your iCloud are managed through your own Apple ID and iOS Settings.

Children

CarDeck is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because CarDeck collects nothing, there is no personal information held by the developer to access, correct, export or erase under the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR or similar laws — your data is already entirely in your hands, on your hardware.

Changes to this policy

If CarDeck's privacy practices ever change (for example, if an optional online feature is added in a future version), this policy will be updated here before that version ships, with a new effective date.
